MindCore's Pre-Execution Thinking: 4 Pillars of Analysis
Typical EAs execute based on a single indicator. MindCore thoroughly examines all 4 pillars across all timeframes before making a decision. If any pillar doesn't align, the answer is "wait," not "guess."
Pillar 1: News and Macroeconomics
US news calendar (high/medium impact with expected figures) · Dollar Index · 10-year bond yield and yield curve · Global news sentiment over 24 hours → No new trades 30 minutes before/after major news, and close existing trades before news.
Pillar 2: Positioning (Who holds what)
Weekly CFTC COT report. Checks if large funds hold unusually high net long or short positions. If everyone is fully bought, new buying power is limited. The system will be cautious on the buy side and prevent selling when funds are extremely short.
Pillar 3: Technicals and Waves Across All Timeframes
Trend, price structure and wave patterns across several timeframes at once. Every rule is backtested over 23 years before it goes live.
Pillar 4: Processing = the MindCore Engine Gate
MindCore Engine combines all four pillars into a continuously updated confidence score. It must pass the threshold and not violate any blocking rule for the gate to open. The EA can only place orders in the direction allowed by MindCore Engine. If the connection to MindCore Engine is lost, the EA will not open new trades.
Real Example: Sep 9, 2026
In the evening, the 4-hour chart looked like it was reversing upwards (making a higher low). My MindCore Engine shifted its view to buy, but still didn't allow opening a trade because another trend condition had not passed yet (23-year statistics: buy signals in this state win only 20% of the time). An hour later, the price dropped $14 before the PPI news. No trade, no damage. This is what "waiting for all 4 pillars" means.
What's in the EA you download: MindCore Engine's base filter rules + built-in news filter + all protective guards. The full 4-pillar MindCore Engine operates on Munsdee servers. We publish daily analysis in clips and reports and run MindCore Engine on our own live account and stream the same signals to client terminals.
Protective Guards, All Can Be Disabled
All guards only prevent "opening new trades." None block closing trades, so open positions always exit according to rules.
Daily and Weekly Loss Cap
Set as a percentage of account balance. Once the cap is reached, stop opening new trades until the next day or week.
Stop After Consecutive Losses
After reaching the set number, pause until the next day. Based on 23 years of data, this guard reduces losing trades but also reduces profit, so it's off by default.
Broker-Adjusted Spread Cap
The EA measures the broker's normal spread from the last 300 ticks and only prevents trades when it widens abnormally. Works for both raw and standard accounts.
No-Trade Hours and Expiry Date
Specify UTC hours when no trades can be opened. The EA checks authorization with the server every hour. If the internet disconnects, it can continue working for 24 hours.

Which Brokers and Account Types Can Be Used?
MindCore works on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with any broker that offers the XAUUSD gold symbol (or similar names like XAUUSDm, GOLD). It is not tied to any specific broker. It reads the normal spread of the running broker and sets its own cap. Supports gold prices with both 2 and 3 decimal places, and both hedging and netting accounts.

Which brokers and account types work
MindCore is broker-agnostic— keep the broker you already use. All it needs is gold (XAUUSD) on MetaTrader 4 or 5and a terminal that stays on 24/5.

Every broker listed works equally well— this table only tells you which account type to open. We do not rank brokers or suggest switching. · All published test results use price data from our own live account on Exness-Real6 (server time UTC); other brokers give close but not identical results because spreads and server times differ. · Broker names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners, shown only to indicate compatibility. We are not an agent of any broker.
Using a broker not on this list? Check it in one minute
- Does the broker offer MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5? (cTrader and proprietary platforms will not work)
- Is goldavailable — symbol XAUUSD, XAUUSDm, GOLDor similar?
- Is the minimum lot 0.01? (the EA sizes positions from your equity and needs this step)
- Is the account ECN / Raw / Zerotype? Standard accounts work but wider spreads cost you.
- Is it swap-free? We measured swap eating up to 8% of profiton longer holds.
All five yes → it will run. Not sure? Email [email protected]with your broker and account type and we will check it for you.
What leverage should you set
Measured across all 3,662 trades over 10 years— walking the timeline and comparing the total contract value held at each moment against the equity at that moment. Not an estimate.
| Leverage | Times margin fell short in 10 years | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| 1:50 | 2,076 (56.7%) | Not usable |
| 1:100 | 317 (8.7%) | Not usable |
| 1:200 | 6 (0.2%) | Risky |
| 1:300 | None | Just enough (true minimum 1:298) |
| 1:500 or higher | None | Recommended — room to breathe |
MindCore sizes every position from your equity and the stop distance— never from free margin. At 1:500 or 1:2000 the EA opens exactly the same position size. Leverage is only headroom to hold several positions at once. Setting it too low is the real problem: the EA cannot open trades when it should. The heaviest moment in 10 years was 28 Aug 2017 — 1.08 lots held with $472 of equity.
There is a second side to this— high leverage is also what makes it possible for an
enormous position to be opened on a small account. At 1:100 a $500 account can only carry a few lots;
with unlimited leverage it can carry hundreds.
MindCore never opens anything near that size (InpMaxLotscaps it),
but leverage is the ceiling on what somebody else could do in your account, not only on what we do.
If you want both: 1:500 is the sweet spot— enough room for the EA, not wide open.

Every figure below comes from MT4's own Strategy Tester on live broker data · XAUUSDm · H1 chart · Every-tick model · 30-point spread · 1 Jan 2024 – 8 Sep 2026 (2 years 8 months) · using the settings locked into the EA, with no curve fitting after the fact.
| Lot mode | Net profit | Profit Factor | Trades | Win rate | Max drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed 0.01 lot | +$2,657 | 2.13 | 324 | 31.8% | 17.5% |
| Risk 2% of equity (starting $500) | $500 → $35,246 | 3.30 | 324 | 31.8% | 16.1% (37% while the account was small) |
How to read this:both rows took the exact same 324 trades with the same 31.8% win rate. The second row earns more purely from compounding— not from better rules — and it carried more risk per trade while the balance was still small (see the capital section below).
- Profitable in 9 of the 10 years tested.
- 42.7% of trades win, but the average winner is 2.68× the average loser - that ratio is where the profit comes from, not a high win rate.
- About 32 trades a month, median holding time 13 hours - this is not a high-frequency system.
- Verified on two brokers and two platforms - Exness on MT4 and Vantage on MT5, with a difference of a single trade between them.
- Every figure comes from the full Strategy Tester reports on the results page.
Which markets it profits in — and which ones you must sit through
MindCore does not trade every condition. It reads the daily regime and stops itselfwhen the board is against it. This table is the real split across 23 years.
| Market regime | % of time | Trades/month | Profit Factor | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clear uptrend | 31% | 8.0 | 1.61 | Main earning period |
| Sideways drifting up | 20% | 7.7 | 1.53 | Works well |
| Flat sideways | 15% | 7.8 | 1.03 | Break-even; spread eats the edge |
| Sideways drifting down | 22% | 0 | — | Does not trade(blocked by MindCore Engine rules) |
| Clear downtrend | 12% | 0 | — | Does not trade |
- About one third of the time it will not open a single trade. In downtrends it stays flat for weeks — that is correct behaviour, not a broken EA.
- Profit is concentrated in a few large trades. In the test, one trade made $4,805 out of $34,746 total (14%). Turn the EA off out of boredom and you miss those.
- A 20–40% drop from equity peak is normal, not a sign the system is broken.
- Gold moves violently around news — the EA closes positions and stops trading around high-impact USD events automatically (configurable).
How much capital you need — and how much unlocks full performance
Risk per trade equals the stop distance, which changes with gold's volatility— roughly $8–12 per 0.01 lot in 2024, but $40–45 in September 2026. The table below uses current volatility (SL ≈ $45 ≈ 1,500 THB per 0.01 lot).
| Capital | Risk per trade (high volatility) | After 5 losses in a row | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|---|
| under $300 | over 15% | under 45% left | Not recommended yet |
| $455 (15,000฿) | ~10% | 59% left | Minimum workable capital— you must tolerate 40% drawdown |
| $910 (30,000฿) | ~5% | 77% left | Comfortable |
| $2,250 (74,000฿) | 2% | 90% left | The point where "risk % of equity" mode truly works |
| $4,500+ | under 1% | 95% left | Full performance; lot size scales with the account |
Why small accounts carry higher risk automatically:the broker's minimum lot is 0.01. If the "risk 2%" formula asks for 0.002 lots, the platform still has to send 0.01 — several times the intended risk. Percent-risk mode therefore only behaves as named above roughly $2,250.The EA carries a locked risk ceiling per trade and automatically skips any trade that would exceed it.
Nothing to configure — every value is locked in
Available for both MT4 and MT5 (same version 1.30, identical settings). Lot sizing, stop distance, maximum open trades and every filter are compiled into the EA— there are no fields to change and no preset files to load. These are the exact values behind every backtest number on this page.
