MindCore EA User Manual
Read in 10 minutes. Learn what to set, how much to set, and why. All figures on this page are derived from actual tests on 23 years of gold data and MT4's Strategy Tester from Jan 2024 to Sep 2026.
0. Nothing to configure — start in 3 steps
Version 1.30 ships with every trading value already set: lot sizing, stop distance, maximum open trades and every filter are compiled into the EA. Those fields no longer appear in the Inputs tab, so there is nothing to get wrong and no preset files to download.
That is all there is to it
- Drag MindCore_EAonto an XAUUSDchart (any timeframe, H1 recommended)
- Paste your key into InpLicenseKey— the only field you fill in
- Make sure AutoTradingis green
Recommended minimum account: USD 500 · lot size is calculated from your own equity and grows with it.
The log shows "feed: ... code=-1 err=4060", or the EA never opens a trade
This is the most common problem, and it takes 30 seconds to fix.Error 4060 means MetaTrader has not been allowed to let the EA reach the internet, so it cannot receive signals and will never open a trade.
- In MT4/MT5 open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors
- Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL
- Click the empty row and type https://munsdeetrader.com(no trailing slash)
- Make sure https://nfs.faireconomy.mediais also listed (news calendar)
- Press OK— no restart needed, the EA retries within 10 seconds
To confirm it is fixed: check the Experts tab. If no more feed:or license:lines appear, the connection is working.
The URL is allowed but the EA still does not trade
Read the MindCore Engineline in the panel at the top-left of the chart first.
- "BUY blocked | SELL blocked — not allowed: ..."— the system is working normally, the market simply does not meet the conditions right now. This is not a fault.MindCore does not trade every day; some weeks it waits. Staying out when conditions are poor is part of the system.
- "MindCore Engine silent X minutes"— it cannot reach the server. See the error 4060 section above.
- "InpLicenseKey required"— no key entered, or the licence has expired.
It asks for the licence key again although I already entered it
The EA remembers your key on that machineafter the first successful check, so you can leave InpLicenseKeyempty from then on.
The saved file lives on that machine only— move to a new computer or a new VPS and you will need to type the key once more, after which it is remembered again.
Which chart do I attach the EA to
Gold, H1 timeframe only— the symbol is called XAUUSD, XAUUSDmor GOLDdepending on your broker.
MindCore was built and tuned for gold alone. It does not work on currency pairs or crypto (we measured USDJPY, EURUSD and silver — all substantially worse). On the wrong chart you will not get the results shown in our tests.
Does the EA keep running when my computer is off
No.The EA runs inside MetaTrader on your machine. If the computer is off or the connection drops, it stops receiving signals and stops managing any open trades immediately.

Your key stays with you
If you press Savein the Inputs tab, the file it creates contains your licence key — do not pass it on, it is tied to your account alone.
Does anything change as the account grows?
No. Lot size is recalculated from current equity every time a trade opens, so it scales up as you grow and shrinks if you draw down. If the EA does not trade for days that is normal — it is designed to stand aside in downtrends (roughly a third of the time).
1. Installation
① Place Files
MT4/MT5 → File → Open Data Folder → MQL4 (or MQL5) → Experts. Place MindCore_EA.ex4 (or .ex5) file, then right-click Expert Advisors in Navigator → Refresh
② Allow Internet Access
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Tick Allow WebRequest and add 2 lines: https://munsdeetrader.comand https://nfs.faireconomy.media(for license check + live news calendar)
③ Attach to H1 Gold Chart
Open XAUUSD chart (or XAUUSDm, GOLD depending on broker) on H1 timeframe. Drag MindCore_EA onto the chart, enter your License key from the member page, then turn the AutoTrading button green.
④ Make sure your key is saved
Every time you attach the EA to a new chart MetaTrader clears the key field. Just paste it again, or press Saveonce in the Inputs tab and use Loadnext time. Nothing else needs your attention — the rest is locked inside the EA.
⑤ Let it Run 24 Hours
Use a VPS or keep your computer on during trading days. The EA needs to see every candle close to open trades according to its rules. The top left corner should show the MINDCORE panel with status "Waiting for signal according to rules".

2. Capital and Lot Size — The Only Factor Determining Survival
MindCore wins approximately 3 out of 10 trades. It has many small losing trades, occasional large winning trades, and has experienced up to 14 consecutive losses. The system doesn't change. Your capital determines whether you can survive through losing streaks to reach large winning trades. This table shows actual results from Strategy Tester from Jan 2024 – Sep 8, 2026, with a fixed lot size of 0.01. The rules are the same for all rows; only the starting capital differs.

Profit is the same in every row because the lot size is the same. Capital does not buy profit; capital buys "distance from margin call". The period 2024–2026 is a golden bullish period. The actual 23-year results include more severe sideways periods, so 60,000 THB per 0.01 lot is recommended for long-term use.
3. All settings — only 10 fields left
Everything that decides a trade is locked at compile time and hidden from the Inputs tab. What remains is your key and a few cosmetic choices.

4. Reading the On-Chart Panel
Status
"Waiting for signal according to rules (no trades for several days is normal)" = Everything is normal. If red, it will state the reason for stopping, such as disconnection, wide spread, upcoming news, or reaching risk ceiling.
Panel Size
The panel is condensed to a maximum width of ~560 pixels. Long text will be truncated with "...". If you have a large screen and want easier readability, adjust InpPanelScale to 1.3–2.0. To hide the panel, set InpShowPanel = false (the EA will still function normally).
Strategy
Buy side / Sell side: [Open] / [Waiting for market state] / [MindCore Engine veto: reason] indicates which side is ready to open a trade now and why.

Open trades, floating profit, next lot size · Closed profit today/this week/30 days and DD from peak · Next high-impact USD news · Current spread vs. the accepted ceiling and SL per trade in USD · License status and number of times the EA has self-repaired.

5. What to Expect Before Starting

No trades at all in Strategy Tester
You need the command file MindCore_commands.enc from the download page, placed in the right folder, with its name in InpCmdReplayFile — see the step-by-step guide
Panel shows "InpLicenseKey required"
Live and demo accounts always require a key from the member page. Enter it in the InpLicenseKey field (under "Usage Rights") and allow the URL https://munsdeetrader.com in Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest. If it still shows "Cannot connect to license server," check that URL first. Backtesting needs your key as well: the command file is encrypted to your key alone.
The key disappears when I re-attach the EA
That is MT4/MT5 behaviour — the key field clears every time you attach the EA to a new chart. Paste it again, or press Saveonce and use Loadnext time. No other value is lost: they are locked inside the EA.
"auto trading disabled by server" (code 10026)
The EA did send the order on the signal, but your broker has disabled automated trading for this account on its server — it is not a problem with the EA or your computer (a disabled Algo Trading/AutoTrading button gives code 10027 instead).
Fix: ① ask your broker to enable Algo Trading / Expert Advisors for this account number ② if that account type does not allow EAs, open one that does and use the same key ③ make sure you logged in with the trading (master) password, not the investor (read-only) password — once the broker enables it, the EA trades the next signal by itself; no settings to change.
The EA opens smaller lots than I expected
Lot size comes from your current equity and the stop distance of that particular trade. On a small account, or when the stop is wide, it will use the 0.01 minimum — that is correct behaviour. As the account grows the lots grow with it.
EA hasn't opened trades for several days
Look at the "Strategy" line on the panel. If it shows [Waiting for regime] or [Brain locked], it means market conditions are not met. Trend-following systems naturally wait. If the status is red, read the reason there.
"Cannot open trade. Risk exceeds ceiling" appears
You set InpMaxRiskPct but your capital is insufficient. Set it to 0 to disable, or add capital as indicated by the EA in the log.
Which URLs need to be allowed?
https://munsdeetrader.com (license check) and https://nfs.faireconomy.media (live news calendar) in Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest
Can I use other timeframes?
The EA internally locks buy side to H1 and sell side to H4. It works the same regardless of which chart you attach it to. However, it's recommended to attach it to H1 for the panel to align with signals.
Can I turn off my computer?
No, the EA needs to see candle closes to open trades. If you turn off your computer while holding a trade, that trade will have SL protection but won't exit based on signals. VPS is recommended.
Do I need to reconfigure for a new broker?
No. The spread ceiling is calculated in dollars, and lot size is calculated from the broker's own tick value. The same settings can be used for both 2 and 3 decimal accounts.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Trading gold and CFDs carries high risk and may result in the loss of all invested capital. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
7. Backtest it yourself in Strategy Tester
In live trading the EA receives commands from the MindCore system over the internet. Strategy Tester has no internet, so the EA uses a backtest command file instead — without this file the EA opens no trades at all. That does not mean the EA is broken.

② Put the file in the right folder
MT4: File → Open Data Folder → MQL4 → Files
MT5: File → Open Data Folder → go up one level (Terminal folder) → Common → Files
③ Set up Strategy Tester
Choose the MindCore EA · gold symbol (XAUUSD) · H1 timeframe · Modelling: MT4 use Every tick · MT5 use 1 minute OHLC (the same mode as the MT5 results on our site) · Optimization: Disabled · the date range can run from 1 Sep 2016 to the latest week (the file is updated every Monday — download it again for the latest week)
④ The Strategy Tester Inputs tab
Enter these in the Inputs tab of the Strategy Tester window (next to Settings), not in the EA settings window on a chart — values set on a chart are not passed to the Tester
InpLicenseKey = your key (the same key you downloaded the file with)
InpCmdReplayFile = MindCore_commands.enc
then press Start
⚠️ The 4 most common reasons for "no trades in the test"
1. Dates with no commands — the command file covers 1 Sep 2016 up to the day you download it (updated every Monday) · 5–18 Sep 2026 has no commands: that is when the system switched to sending commands to customer EAs over the internet · From 19 Sep 2026 on, these are the real commands the system sent to every customer
2. Dates before your broker's data — look for ticks data begins from … in the Journal tab. Your start date must be after it (e.g. a broker with tick data from 11 Apr 2025 → start from 2025.05.01 onward)
3. Your broker has no real tick data (MT5) — if you pick "Every tick based on real ticks" and the Journal shows ticks synchronized already [47 bytes] or another tiny byte count, the broker has almost no tick data, so the test ends quickly with no trades → switch Modelling to 1 minute OHLC
4. The test was stopped midway — we recommend unticking Visual mode (much faster) and waiting until the progress bar reaches 100%. Results appear in the Backtest and Graph tabs · With Visual mode on, closing the chart window stops the test immediately
Reading the Journal tab
After pressing Start, look for lines beginning with MindCore replay:
• loaded historical commands … events = the file was read ✅
• could not open the encrypted file = file not found → check the folder in step ② and the name in InpCmdReplayFile
• does not belong to the key in InpLicenseKey = key and file do not match, or the key is empty (check the InpLicenseKey= line in the Journal — if nothing follows the = sign, the key was not entered in the Strategy Tester Inputs tab) → use the key of the account you downloaded the file with (watch for extra spaces)
• No replay line at all = InpCmdReplayFile still has the default replay_safe.csv → change it to MindCore_commands.enc · or the EA received no prices at all (see point 3 above about ticks)
Pressed Start and still no trades
Check 3 things: the file is in the folder from step ② · the name in InpCmdReplayFile matches the file name exactly · the key in InpLicenseKey is the same key you downloaded the file with — still stuck? Send a screenshot of the Journal tab to our team on LINE @353gcflr
Results come close to the backtest page when you use the same minute data (Exness XAUUSDm, 260-point spread). Data from other brokers will differ with spread and server time · Past backtest results do not guarantee future results.

A note on naming: on the chart panel and in the input names you will see the word Brain (the Brain row on the panel, the InpBrainGate input). That is the same MindCore Engine. We keep the original wording on screen so the manual matches exactly what the software shows.
